Introduction of the collaborators

<Trans Media Institute>

Trans Media Institute, af liated with SungKyunKwan University, is a research institute that many professors and researchers in performing arts, lm, media, liberal arts, arts, and engineering circles are involved in order to study, plan and develop contents that is competent enough to survive in this multimedia era. TMI has released considerable numbers of papers on culture / lm policy and the group – based creating system. Also it did re-work on the scenario of the movie “His Concern”, and designed Seoul City Gallery’s lm room. In addition, with its documentary “To my mother’s world”, the institute rewarded support from the Korea Creative Contents Agency under its idea commercialization support business, and received Lotte prize from Busan Film Festival under Busan promotion plan. The institute has been focusing on creating and developing multi-cultural contents mingled with media, such as “Café Rivoli” co-produced with the Korean Film Council, and “Madam Freedom 2010”, “Interview with Isang Yun” and “Madam Freedom 2012” co-worked with Arzid Modern Dance Company.


<Arzid Modern Dance Company>

Arzid Modern Dance Company was found in 1999, and revealed its rst performance, “Existence” at Towol Theater in Seoul Arts Center. Since then, the company has been recognized by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Arts Council Korea with its creative and popular performances. In 2001, the company won the best performance prize and the best choreography prize at Seoul Dance Festival held by the Dance Association of Korea, with its one of art pieces “Dong Dong”. And in 2012, the company won the culture-sports minister prize at Korea Dance Awards with “Interview with Isang Yun.” Since 2010, the company has carried out cross genre performances mingling dance and media technology with Trans Media Institute (TMI) upon a strong partnership,
and currently, the two companies’ co-project “Interview with Isang Yun” is being nominated by Benois de la Danse Program in Russia.

<Institute Français>

The Institute Français plays an essential part in the life and culture in Korea to inform the French language and French culture since it was established 1968. The Institute Français in Seoul has not only introduced the variety of French cultures such as music, dance, theater, exhibition, lm but also provided the service for students who
wanted to study in France. It also concerns about the academic interchange program, science and language development. Located in modern building in Seoul, Korea, the institute open to everyone 11:00a.m. to 9:00 p.m, and are easily accessible by public transportation.

<GoodPlanet foundation>

The GoodPlanet Foundation, created in 2005 by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, was recognized as a non-pro t organization in 2009. Its mission is to raise awareness and educate the public on environmental protection. The GoodPlanet Foundation offers realistic and optimistic solutions and encourages individuals to act in respect for the planet by following a series of programs aimed at placing ecology in the core of our consciousness.


The Foundation’s four goals are :

1. To inform the public on the environment and its challenges via GoodPlanet.info, a large public website in French and English on sustainable development. In parallel, 300.000 books were published in France and abroad, allowing for a better understanding of environmental challenges.

2. To educate on sustainable development via two speci c programs :
o The GoodPlanet posters distributed each year to 57.000 schools in France: more than 10 million students and their professors bene t from these 20-poster educational kits since 6 years
o The Maison du Changement, an eco-conceived project dedicated to sustainable development education,
destined to children from ages 8 to 15
3. To raise awareness through images, thanks to the Foundation’s lms and exhibitions :
o 7 billion Others, result of 7 years of shooting in 84 countries, regroups more than 6000 video testimonies of men and women around the world in about 30 thematic lms. The interactive website is translated into 8 languages.
o « Des Forets et des Hommes » shows 70 photos of forests, taken by 40 great photographers around the world. Conceived within the framework of the Year of Forests, the exhibition has already been presented in 10 cities in France and abroad.
4. To act for the planet and for mankind :
o Action Carbone allows businesses, institutions, and individuals to calculate, reduce, and offset their carbonemissions and to support projects that ght climate change. The Foundation supports twenty projects, which are of bene t to 92.000 people, and which allowed the protection of 500.000 hectars of forests in developing countries.
o GoodPlanet Solidaire accompanies businesses in carrying out projects that associate international and environmental solidarity. Six projects « Enroute pour l’école » bene t 6.400 people. All our programs at www.goodplanet.org
